KATRIEN VAN ROOYEN, Corporate Controller
Katrien Van Rooyen, corporate controller for R.D. Olson Development, oversees all aspects of the company’s finances, including accounting and reporting, budgeting, risk management, human resources and information systems management. Van Rooyen is also central to the company’s strategic business planning team, contributing significantly to the group’s focus on effectiveness and profitability.
Van Rooyen, with nearly 20 years of expertise in the finance industry, has deep roots in the construction and development industries. Prior to joining R.D. Olson Development, she was a director of finance for Turner Construction in San Diego, responsible for financial forecasting, decision analysis and support, while serving as the primary point-of-contact for clients, banks and investors.
Van Rooyen is accredited by the Chartered Institute of Business Management, in the disciplines of Financial Accounting, Commercial and Contractual Law. In addition to her duties at R.D. Olson Development, Van Rooyen is active in the financial community. She currently serves as Vice President for the Orange County Chapter of the Construction Financial Management Association (CFMA); Vice President of the association for Financial Executives International (FEI) and is an executive member of the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA).
